Highwire is made possible by generous hearts willing to help children across the world through donating art supplies to help remind children in abandoned orphanages, hospitals and war torn countries, that there is beauty in being a child, and hope through art.
We take an expressive arts therapy approach to the lesson we do with the children.

Your contribution makes a direct and immediate global impact.  Supporting our delivery of art supplies and quilts (through www.threadinghope.weebly.com) to children.  Millions of children and families are in need of warmth and aid, lacking a comfortable place to lay their heads at night. They need the light that art brings during dark periods, and it has been well researched the positive effects art has on hope and perseverance.  Our volunteers will personally hand deliver donations offering humanitarianism through hope, dedication to change, and love.

What we need:
crayons, sketch books, markers, scissors and pencils with sharpeners.

July 2010-Aid delivery of art supplies and quilts to Port Au Prince, Haiti. After the earthquake hit, much was devastated, we hope to help bring warmth and comfort into the homes  of the people in Haiti. It may be hot and muggy at times but the quilts will still provide cushion on the grounds they sleep in the cardboard huts they have made.  The art kits will bring fun, and healing through the hospitals in PAP, where we will be visiting recovering children and families.

**There will always be a trip each year so supplies will always have a place to go, send supplies throughout the year, we stock pile and then create kits for the trips. Thank you
