Malawi, Africa - Children of Blessings

March of 2011 we traveled to the "Warm Heart of Africa" and worked with a great organization, Children of Blessings. This organization has classes for mothers of children with mental and / or physical handicaps.   There is a three tiered approach, children start at the lower group when they are unable to stand, then move to a standing group and receive classes, then they move to a school group. 

We were able to work with the preschool stander groups and the older school age groups. They enjoyed all the supplies and were excited to color pictures of animals that were familiar to them, as well as some new ones that they had never seen.

The children came back each day wearing their backpacks, and large smiles! These Children are a Blessing and taught me more than I taught them.

We were also able to visit Partners in Hope hospital and deliver quilts from Threading Hope!
